Mom blogs. They’re everywhere, and they cover a wide range of topics. They’re so #relatable, or they are #momshaming…except, not for me.
To be honest, I’ve never felt shamed by another mom’s opinions, and there are more blog posts about motherhood that I don’t relate to than I do relate to. And that’s why I’ve decided to start this blog. I feel like there’s not enough momblog content out there for those more like myself, so I’m going to do it!
Where do I fit in the parenting sphere? Attachment/gentle parenting, some Montessori, mostly screen-free, emphasis on the outdoors and books, minimalism. Like most parents, I’ve picked the bits that I feel work best for my family, so this won’t be a blog about how to follow any specific guidelines. Instead, this blog is a place where I’ll share what works for us, how we do it, life updates, room transformations, and the occasional recipe. Obviously, anything published here is opinion, and not doctrine—it’s not a place to shame, but a place to openly express my opinions. Yes, we can still be friends if you parent differently. My motto for parenting disagreements is: do you want to parent their kids for them? And my answer is always ‘no’. Let’s explore this amazing time through joyful parenting!
Good luck!
