If you’ve spent any time on this blog, or follow me on Instagram, you know that I am a really big fan of Crio Bru. Now, I’m not going to rehash things, so, if you’re looking into what Crio Bru is, or want to be convinced to try it, I already have that post, and you can check it out here. This post is all about the flavors. And Todd and I are going to rank them.
The point of this post is two-fold: first, to have fun ranking our favourite drink’s flavours; and second, to help you, dear reader, see what flavors might appeal to you.
Before we begin, Todd and I will each give a little flavor bio for what we prefer in a Bru. Then, we’ll split the Bru into 3 categories for ranking:
- standard flavors
- limited edition flavors
- overall ranking, with standard and limited edition flavors
After we give our personal ranking for each of these categories, we will argue until we can come up with a collaborative ranking for each category.
— as a disclaimer: I did reach out to Crio Bru asking if they might have a list of every flavor, so I wouldn’t forget any, but they did not even concede to respond. We have not had every flavor, and searching through photos, and receipts is a bit unreliable, so this will not be a perfect ranking of every single flavor. I also will be using receipts to see what ones we re-ordered, because there are some limited editions from years ago that I definitely don’t remember well enough to really rank like I wish I could —
What Lindsay looks for in a Bru: My very favourite Brus all have a pretty strong flavor, but with depth. I am most drawn to the non-flavored Brus, but love it when an ‘origin Bru’ has a lot going on, like being fruity, or has a unique chocolatey profile. For flavored Brus, I like them to not be too overpowering.
What Todd looks for in a Bru: I like pretty much all the Brus, except for the fruity flavored ones. Personally, I like a rich chocolate-like flavor that goes down smooth. I also drink the very bitter ones, but they’re not my favorite.

- Ecuador French Roast

Lindsay’s ultimate ranking:
- Guatemala – this is the flavour of all flavours for me. Like an excellent chocolate bar, the chocolate is not too dark, or too light, whith a complex flavour, and citrusy notes that are just p e r f e c t i o n. I’m still hanging onto about 1 serving on this Bru, for a rainy day.
