It’s officially Fall! Though I’m not a Halloween fan, I do love ditching the horrid sunny, hot summer weather, and the crowds that come with it.
So, what can you do—specifically in Provo—in autumn, if you want to get out? My favourite activities are mostly ones you can do anywhere, but here’s some ideas, if you’re looking to add a little Fall fun into your schedule.
Hike, Walk, Bike, or Drive in the Fall Foliage
If you’re looking for maximum color, I’d suggest heading up the canyon to Big Springs. But you could also take a leisurely stroll on the Provo River Trail. I personally love driving up into the canyon, windows down, and catching that lovely crispy leaf smell in the breeze.
Grab some Hot Chocolate
There are several places you can get some hot chocolate in town.
Shirley’s – Yummy Nutella hot chocolate, a touch above average
Kneader’s – Pretty basic, but still good
Peace on Earth Coffee – Very good, especially if you want to sit somewhere to enjoy your drink
Taste – Super fancy, top-of-the-line
Sundance Lift Rides
Though I’ve yet to do this, I hear good things about it. I imagine the chilly experience would be pretty hygge—and definitely unique!
Bonfire with S’mores
What better way to enjoy the drop in temperature than huddled up by the fire with friends? It’s communal, and it’s outdoors.
What are some of your favourite Fall activities?
