get to know me – hi, i’m lindsay

oh, hey

Hello, lovely readers, and friends! After 6 months, this is the 50th blog post, so thank you very much to everyone reading and supporting—I truly hope that my posts are useful or insightful to you, or at the least entertaining.

Since I’ve been sharing how we do things, my opinions, and a little bit of my family’s life on this blog, I thought I would take this time to properly introduce myself to you a little better.

• I love to write lists. It relaxes me, and helps me get my thoughts (of which there are many) in order. I have lists for spending, lists for my future wardrobe, do-do-lists, and lists on this blog.

• Living in Provo was  d e f i n i t e l y  not the dream. But with where we were are life, and where Todd’s employment is, it turned out Provo offered what we wanted.

• I grew up with pets. Usually at least 1 cat + 1 dog, but at one point we had a hamster, cat, dog, and stray cat we took care of. My parents currently have 3 dogs + my cat, Chrissy. To me, a home isn’t quite right until there’s an animal living there, too (house pet, to be clear).

• In high school, I did theatre at a few different local stages, even landing a lead role.

• I have three cats. Chrissy, 16, my childhood love, who lives with my parents; Wendy, nearly 4, my 6 pound snot-ball who is the exact opposite of Chrissy in every way; and Back Seung, 2, Jo who is just very aesthetic.

• The best feeling ever is being fresh out of the shower, in clean jammies, clean bedding (duvet, obviously), and open window in the summer.

• I freaking love — l o v e — fancy food.

• Cloudy and rainy days are my favourite. The sun is hot and oppressive.

• I am new to having houseplants—I don’t love dirt, and feel I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing, but I do really love having some ‘living decor’, especially when I want our space so minimal. I’m very proud that I’ve managed to keep so many alive (I currently have 8).

• I’ve always been very domestic, and had a lot of domestic interests. In third grade, I said my favourite show was Martha Stewart Living.

Well, there you go. Now, you know a little more about me, which may give you a little more context for where I’m coming from in my other posts—or maybe you just think I’m extra special now.

Id’ love to get to know you a little better too! If you’re up for it, give me a tidbit about yourself in the comments!
