When we first bought our townhouse, I knew I wanted to turn the coat closet into a cleaning closet. It is pretty far from the front door anyway, and I wanted to have a place—on the middle floor—to keep all our cleaning supplies handy. Plus, a closet with just a rod seems pretty low in functionality to me.
I trolled Pinterest for ideas, and we’ve finally finished it!
From one measly shelf, and a rod…to a super useful space, packed with organizational potential.
It was really important for me to have enough space for everything, so we didn’t have to store these items is various places.
Top shelf is perfect for things I don’t need to reach for that often. Second one is for the cleaning supplies I use on a regular basis. Then we’ve got plenty of space for storage. But my favourite shelf is the one for the toilet bush! You can’t store ‘em sideways, and leaving them on the floor with small children is such. a. massive. risk. Don’t do it. Now, we have the perfect out-of-reach-spot for it.
I absolutely love how it turned out.
