dates I’d like to go on

Provo has a lot of fun things going on, especially for date night. As I’ve spent the majority of my adult life here, or around here (what the freak), I’ve been able to enjoy a lot of local experiences with Todd. It seems Provo just keeps getting better, and there are even more things to do.

I am currently very pregnant, and it’s pretty dang hot, so I avoid leaving the house as much as possible. Plus, I’m not a fan of us both leaving my toddler—only done so once ever, and it was in June—so, we tend to do family ‘dates’. Unfortunately, there are a few really intriguing activities that are not toddler-friendly/great if your body feels like it’s going to fall apart after 8 pm every night. Even though I can’t enjoy them right now, in case you’re looking for something fun to do with your lover, here are the dates I’d love to go on if I were not super pregnant/the only person who can get my toddler to sleep:

special thanks to aforementioned toddler for the pic

Taste – I plan to do an entire post on this entirely delightful establishment in the future. For now, I just would love to go back and do another chocolate tasting, or perhaps one of their chocolate + cheese tastings! They’ve also started doing a cocktail night, and I would love to get out with Todd for an evening of specialty treats.

Goga – This is yoga with goats! In the past, Todd and I have done yoga together, and I think this would be a really different experience. Definitely not an event for bringing littles to, though, and I think I’m probably too pregnant at this point to really enjoy it.

Dancing – If you want to learn to dance, Provo’s a pretty good place to live. In college, I enjoyed going to country swing dancing, but what I’d really love to learn is West Coast Swing (or cha cha). Todd isn’t super keen on dancing, but I think it could be really fun.

Archery – There are actually a couple of local places that offer this experience. I’ve always been interested in the idea of archery, but have never had a chance to learn how to do it. I think this would make a memorable date night.

Mini Golf – Growing up, I really loved putt-putt. However, I’ve not been as an adult. Going with a toddler would take a very long time, I postulate, so I think this definitely makes the couple-only list. Doing something playful, that I’ve not done is ages, would be relaxing, and enjoyable.

There you have it, my list of to-do dates. Go out and give one a try, if you haven’t yet! Why not have fun?! In the foreseeable future, I’ll be here baking a baby, and snuggling my toddler to sleep.

32 week bump
